Elaine M. Rutkowski: Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Department of Nursing at CSUF. She currently teaches courses in community health, patient education and psycho-social issues.

Dr. Rutkowski’s research focuses on obesity risk knowledge, self-efficacy and activity levels in families of adolescents. She recently presented her research at the 10th Annual Nation/International Evidence-Based Practice Conference: Translating Research into Best Practice with Vulnerable Populations, February 19-20, 2009, Phoenix, AZ. Elaine has co-authored an article that has been accepted for publication, "Families on the Move: Development of a Weight Management Intervention for Latino Mothers and Children" in the Journal for Specialists in Pediatric Nursing. She has been involved in The Center for Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles and Childhood Obesity Prevention since it’s inception in 2004.
